AIW, Inc. (American Iron Works) is a company where the product you receive is defined only by your imagination and the limitations of the media.  We pride ourselves on building America’s tomorrow, today.

AIW has continuously operated since 1948.  Our staff of over 200 persons is committed to excellence, and is the finest in the industry.  We specialize in complex structural steel, miscellaneous metals and ornamental metals.  We self perform both fabrication and erection.  Our bonding capacity is in excess of one hundred million dollars and is provided by F&D/Zurich.  We work with several minority companies to provide you the participation you require.

AIW’s expertise in the timely completion of projects ranging from proto-types and ornamental focal points to large commercial and government projects can be gleaned from the partial list of jobs.  I am sure you will be impressed not only by the shear volume of work, but also the prestige of the jobs.  Please keep in mind that this list contains only a few of the most prestigious projects.

AIW’s specialty is extremely complex, large-scale construction, both new and rehab.  We pride ourselves on our ability to work as a team to develop constructible systems.  Our in-house engineering staff works hand-in-hand with architects, engineers and owners to achieve the finished product.  We are always available to meet wherever and whenever is convenient for you.

AIW’s erection crews are from Iron Workers Local #5 and are the most experienced men and women in the union.  While each person is cross-trained in all aspects of the metals industry, we also have specialized crews to accomplish each type of work presented to us.  Most have been with us for over 5 years, while many have stayed for over 20.

We are by far the most technologically advanced metals subcontractor.  AIW embraced the digital world over 15 years ago, and today we have a digital workplace unrivaled outside of a technology company.  This keeps our focus on your project, and ensures that we not only meet, but exceed our commitments.  From 3D computer modeling to machine automation we are truly cutting edge.

AIW’s technological edge augments the excellence in old-world craftsmanship with which our name has become synonymous.  The people creating your product are the finest, and have come from the world over to work for our company.  Many of them have been with us for over 20 years, and some have passed the 40 year mark.   “Attention To Detail” is a paradigm for us, not a catch-phrase.

AIW’s various divisions will remain committed to ensuring your satisfaction with the end-result.  As part of the project team, you will remain welcome to visit and view your dream becoming a reality. Biographies of our key personnel are available for project qualification.

AIW has a division we call “Special Projects”.  We operate from a cleared facility and have cleared personnel.  Our Facilities Security Officer can answer any specific questions you may have.  This group is actively engaged in several services including:

1.     Design/build teaming;

2.     Consultation for design envelope feasibility;
